A wish or a dream
Don't work your dreams into your life....
Instead, work your life into your dreams.
Sacrificing to make it happen.
Here we are on a Sunday.
Sunday's are always the final leg of the race... Middle school games on Thursday... High school football on Friday.... 2 rodeos on Saturday... and BAM.... Sunday hits... we are tired... it always seems to be an early morning after a late night kind of deal.
This weekend was no different... that pattern.... now on repeat.. over and over again.
But when you have dreams of winning...
Dreams of competing...
Dreams of Gold Buckles waiting for ya at the Finals.
You make your life work around your dreams.
Even if it's 2 hours of sleep... Even if it means cancelling your adult fun-day plans to support and haul your kids... even if it means spending weekends family divided ....
You just do it..
You plan your week around the load... you prepare for it... work extra hard for it... double up to always stay ahead so you never get behind.
You see this guy.... Yes him.... in the blue shirt here. His guy made yet another all night drive from Wyoming to Kansas this summer. Two reasons... One: he can't stand to waste away his day driving... Two, he wanted to make it back to watch Carlee in a CYRA rodeo. He works hard to show our kids the importance to take care of what you are responsible for, all while BUILDING your DREAM.
We have noticed something in a lot of parents and people for that matter..... many will do a lot of things.... but only when it's convenient... dreams are not convenient... a "wish" is convenient.
Freddy this summer.... with her horses: Diesel and Bucky. We over entered Rodeos on accident..... meaning we entered too many in one day. We drove a lot of miles in 24 hours... But we made it work. Two rodeos in two different states!
